An occasional issue can occur when trying to update your OVPQ document but the vessel cannot be selected from your fleet list within the editor.
When you click on the "Create OVPQ" document and are presented with the "Create Document" window you find that the vessel you need to update is missing from the drop down list at the top of the page:
If this is the problem you are experiencing it is usually because the editor has not communicated with the OVID server correctly and has not updated the vessel list. Close the "Create Document" screen by clicking on the cross in the top right hand corner of the window.
You should arrive back at the OVPQ editor homepage. First of all, try logging out of the editor and logging back in to try to force the editor to check for updates from the server. At the homepage you should be able to see your username in the top right hand side of the screen. Click on this then choose "Logout" from the menu:
You should then be taken back to the login screen. Log back in and try creating a new document again. If the vessel has appeared in the drop down list continue creating the document as normal.
However, if the vessel name still fails to appear you may need to do a complete hard reset on the editor. If logging back in to the editor has failed to resolve the problem contact the OCIMF Helpdesk at email@example.com for further guidance on how to perform a hard reset.
