The Data Mining section of SIRE allows operators to view basic statistical data compiled from SIRE and allows you to compare this with collective statistics on other organisations.
To access Data Mining, login to SIRE and click on the Data Mining link in the menu bar at the top of the page:
This will then take you into the operator dashboard where you can see all of the main readouts.
Towards the top of the screen you have the option to show data for just your organisation or for all operators (simply click the drop down arrow and choose the option you need). You can also specify a date range if required.
Once you have set your preferences click on the "Apply Date Filter" button:
IMPORTANT: Please note that statistics are only available for the previous 24 months and no further historical data is available. Also please be aware that the data shown is regenerated at the start of each month. Any statistics from published documents after the beginning of the current month will not be included until the data regenerates again at the start of the next calendar month. Please bear this in mind when analysing observation figures.
In the first series of pods there are several statistics provided, "Number of observations per inspection", "Number of Inspections Per Vessel" and "Of the fleet have > 3 Inspections":
Each of these pods has two buttons in the top right hand of the side that open additional data boxes with further breakdowns of the data used to provide the main figure, click on these to see further statistics where the final figure was derived:
The next pod immediately below provides a pie chart with a breakdown of the most common observations, like the first row of pods there are buttons on the top right that will display further figures (as highlighted with the red box in this example below:
Clicking on each section of the chart will give details of the corresponding question:
Also by clicking on the arrow immediately to the right of the chart will display a text breakdown of the observations:
The buttons above provide further statistical breakdowns for each observation such as this example below:
There are also further pods that provide charts and data on observation data:
Each pod has additional data that can be viewed using the buttons in the top right hand side providing additional data as previously outlined above.
Please note this data can be printed but cannot be downloaded in excel, xml or any other format (To print, click on the "Print Friendly View" button located at the top right hand side of the page). Access to this data is limited to viewing within SIRE.
