OVID inspectors can provide details of their operational experience within their OVID Inspectors profile. This is beneficial and allows an inspector to demonstrate their experience to members who maybe looking for suitable inspectors to fulfil their forthcoming commissions.
In order to update your experience access your profile by logging in to OVID and then click on the "Profile" tab from the homepage:
This will then take you to the profile page:
If you scroll down the page you will see an entry called "Experience Summary":
This will either be blank or may already have some details listed in the right hand column. If you want to add or update these details, scroll down the page. Towards the bottom you will see a series of buttons. One of these is labelled "Edit Inspector Profile":
Click on this to enter the inspector profile screen. Scroll down to the "Inspector Experience" section:
Here you will be see a list of various operations that you can add to your experience listing. To add an operation, click on the corresponding tick box on the left hand side then choose the level of experience from the drop down list, then add the number of years of experience you have. Once you have added an operation it will be labelled with . This means that the operation is not immediately available to view in your profile. All updates are checked and approved by OCIMF. A notification is automatically sent when you add a new operation. When this is approved the "pending OCIMF Approval" is removed and it will then appear in your profile and will be available for members to view.
Once you have updated your experience, ensure you click on the "Save Profile & Submit for OCIMF Review" to save your updates and make the changes available for review:
