As an OVID Member you have the ability to assign selected inspectors to your organisation. This is required to allow an inspector to be selected when commissioning an inspection. It is also required to enable the booked inspector to submit their report.
To add or remove inspectors, please click on "Inspectors" from the blue bar at the top of the OVID Homepage and choose "Assign Inspectors" from the drop down menu.
You are then taken to the Assign Inspectors Page. Once there you will see two columns labelled "Unassigned Inspectors" on the left and "Assigned Inspectors" on the right:
The "unassigned inspectors" are not currently available to your organisation to complete inspections. If you wish to add them to your organisation you can search for them by name in the search bar above. The results are then filtered and displayed in the "Unassigned Inspectors" column:
To select the inspector click on the check box and then click on the green "Assign Selected Inspectors" button above:
Once completed, the inspector will then appear in the "Assigned Inspectors" column and will be available to select when commissioning an inspection and for submission of reports.
To remove an inspector locate them in the "Assigned inspectors" list on the right hand side of the page and then select them by clicking on the checkbox next to their name:
Once selected click on the red "Unassign Selected Inspectors" button directly above:
The inspector is then removed and added back to the "Unassigned Inspectors" list. This means they cannot be selected when commissioning an inspection and they will not be able to submit an inspection to OVID.
