The population tool available to terminal operator in MTIS is a useful way to add additional berths to your terminal. It is particularly useful if you already have a berth added to a terminal, as this allows you to copy an existing berth and use the data to create an another berth record. This saves time and avoids having to re-enter all details. You can simply amend the details you need and save it as a new berth record.
If you don't already have a berth listed in your terminal, an article that explains how to add them from the main terminal details area of MTIS can be found here.
The population tool can be found in the quick access menu when you login to your MTIS homepage:
The Population tool is at the top of the Quick Access Menu, click on it to access:
At the first screen select the terminal you wish to update from the drop down list at the top of the screen.
If you have any existing berths listed for the terminal they will be listed on the page. If you wish to copy an existing berth to use the details click on the green clone button:
You are then taken to the main screen to enter the berth details:
Make any changes as required and then click on the save button at the bottom of the page:
Once completed you are then taken to the main terminal page. If you wish to repeat the process and add another berth, click on the "Save and Add Another Berth" link instead of "Save to repeat the process again.
