When using the editor and opening an inspection file you may encounter an error such as this:
TypeError: Error #1088
at com.mis.editor.core.document::DocumentProcessor$/get_document()
at com.mis.editor.core.desktop.views::DocumentViewClass/openDocument()
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent()
at mx.core::UIComponent/dispatchEvent()

at mx.core::UIComponent/set initialized()

at mx.managers::LayoutManager/doPhasedInstantiationCallback()
This often happens if you have been working on an inspection and have left the editor open with the report on screen and left the computer to go into stand by/sleep mode. When you return to your computer the above error appears on screen when trying to access the editor.
When this happens, you are usually unable to open the file again and the error as shown above appears.
To close this error, click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the window. You should then be able to get back to the homepage of the editor where you should be able to view the report listed in the documents list on the left hand side of the page:
Once you have located the report in the documents list, Click on the report to open it. The Report name is then located in the bottom left hand corner of the screen as highlighted in the example below:
When you have the report name, close the editor and then go to your Documents folder on your computer. Within this folder you will see another folder labelled "OCIMF-Editor":
Open this folder and you should see another folder also called "Documents":
Open this folder and you should then see a list of files:
Locate the file with the report name you noted earlier. You may also see another file with the same report name ending with -TEMP. Right click on each of these files and choose copy from the menu that appears.
Next, go to an easy to find location such as your desktop or similar, right click and then choose "Paste" from the menu to make a copy of each file.
Once completed, re-open the editor and click on the "Import Document" button, then browse to the location where you have just made copies of the file:
You can select the file which does not have the -TEMP text at the end and click on "Open". This will then start the process of importing the file to your account.
If the first file fails to import, try repeating the import process with the file ending in -TEMP. This file is an auto save that would have been created while you were working on the inspection report and may not be complete but it could potentially save you from starting over if the main file is corrupted and refuses to import.
Following this process should allow you to re-import the whole report or to partially restore it from the -TEMP file to allow you to complete it and submit successfully. However, in some cases during the import process you may get an error that advises the report contains no data. If this occurs with both the regular and -TEMP file, this usually means all data is lost and you will need to restart the report again as the data is too corrupt or missing. If this occurs you are always welcome to send the file to us at OVID Support and we can check the file for you to confirm if any data can be recovered.
