Inspectors can declare any industrial relationships that they may have in their role using the form that is contained within their inspectors profile on the OVID website.
If you think there maybe any relationships with industry organisations that could impact on your impartiality when inspecting vessels, it is very important to make this known to OCIMF as soon as possible.
To make a declaration, login to your OVID account and click on your username in the top right hand side of the homepage and choose "Industry Relationships" from the drop down menu:
This should take you to the conflict of interest screen. If you have not made a declaration before this list will appear to be blank.
To add a declaration, click on the button. This will take you to a form you will need to complete:
Please read the note at the top of the page regarding information disclosure and then complete the form. Provide as much detail as you possibly can. Before submitting please read the declaration at the bottom of the page and click on the check box to confirm your understanding of the statement. Once you are confident the details have been completed click on the "Save and Submit to OCIMF" button.
Once submitted the details are automatically sent to the OCIMF Compliance Officer who will asses the statement and may come back to you for further details. The contents of the form will remain confidential.
