As well as using the offline OVPQ 2 editor software to create and edit OVPQ2 documents, there is also a built in application that is now part of the OVID website.
This is quicker and more convenient with no uploading and downloading of documents required.
To use the editor, open a vessel record in OVID and click on the "Vessel Actions - OVPQ Crew and Data Updates" link:
At the next screen, under the OVPQ heading click on the "Edit" button directly below:
At the edit OVPQ screen you are then presented with a series of buttons in the lower half of the page. Under the "Edit Online" heading click on the "Edit OVPQ2 Online" button:
This will then take you to the OVPQ document. You can then complete as many of the sections as possible (if you have a previously created document you can also make updates as required from here). Navigate through each question or section by clicking on them to expand the question to view fully and enter your responses. Your changes are automatically saved as you work.
Once completed and you are ready to publish the document, click on the "Back" button in the top right hand corner of the screen:
At the next page, scroll down to the lower section of the screen to publish it. Click on the "Publish OVPQ Document" button. Once published, the report is then available for members to view:
