In order for an OVID inspection to take place you will need to create an inspection from your account. To do this go to "Inspection" in the blue bar and click on it and click on "Create Inspection". You are then taken to the "Create inspection" page:
At the Create Inspection page you can begin the process and complete the details required.
There are four steps you need to complete:
1. Define Inspection
2. Additional Users
3. Define Variants
4. Select Inspector
We'll take each of these steps in turn:
1. Define Inspection
At this screen the basic details such as the Inspection date, Country and Location can be entered. Once these sections are completed, you will also need to search for the vessel from the vessel list below and select it. Once you have selected the vessel to be inspected the screen is updated:
You can then check the details are correct, then select "Yes" in the "Please confirm you wish to continue" field and complete the "Reason for Inspection" field. Once completed, click on "Next" to move to step 2.
2 Additional Users
At this screen you can add any additional users that may be involved with the inspection if required. Select the users by clicking on the green plus symbol to the right of the persons name that you wish to add:
Once completed, click on the "Next" button to continue.
3. Define Variants
At this screen you can select the variants that are required for the inspection:
Once selected, click on next.
4. Select Inspector
At this screen you can choose the inspectors taking who will carry out the inspection:
At the top of the page you will see check boxes to limit the list of inspectors by country and by the selections such as the variants that you have already made. This will help to ensure that you choose a suitable inspector. Tick the check boxes as required to filter the list of inspectors that appears below. You can also click on the "search" button if you already have an inspector in mind and wish to search for them by name:
Once you have located the inspector you wish to add, click on the green plus symbol to the right of the inspector listing. Once you have selected your primary inspector you can also select a secondary inspector if required. They will then be added to the inspection details.
Finally, towards the lower half of the page you will see the "Request Details" section:
Ensure the correct e-mail addresses are added to the "Inspector Mail" field as well as any additional message you would need to send to the inspectors. Once completed, click on the "Finish" button. You will then be directed to a final confirmation page that shows all the inspector commission details:
