When logging in to OVID you are usually directed straight to the Operator Dashboard. This page has a digest of several areas of the system that are considered most important for operators. They are designed to help you keep track of inspections and trace which stage they have reached within the system.
We'll take a look at each section in turn:
Inspections Pending Operator Comments
Thus list provides details of any inspections on your vessels that have recently been submitted to OVID, checked and finally processed by the submitting company. They are now awaiting you as the vessels operator to review any observations, make any comments and finally publish the report. By clicking on the blue arrow to the right of the report in the list, you can go straight to the comments section and complete this process.
Unprocessed Inspections
This area shows inspection reports on your vessels that have been submitted successfully by an inspector and are awaiting processing by the submitting company who commissioned the report. If you are awaiting a report and have not been advised that it is ready for comments, it is always worth checking this area first. If a report is listed as unprocessed or is not listed here at all when you are expecting to add comments, it would be advisable to contact the submitting company directly to ascertain if it has been submitted or if there is any reasons for a delay in processing. If there is any doubt you can also contact OVID Support at OVIDSupport@ocimf.org
Inspection Bookings
This area provides details of any outstanding bookings for your vessels that have yet to be actioned. Once an inspection has taken place and a report submitted, the inspection booking will be treated as completed and will eventually be removed from the list automatically.
