OVID Members have the ability to "watch" a vessel record. If you have a vessel that you are potentially interesting in chartering, the watch list is effectively a short list that you can quickly refer to without having to search the OVID database to look up the vessel details. Also, once a vessel is on your watch list you will automatically receive notifications when a new report on your chosen vessel is published.
To add a vessel to your watch list, go to the "Vessels" are of OVID, then search for and open the vessel record you require.
I the top right hand corner of the screen you will see an "Add to Watch" button:
Click on this to add the vessel to your list. A notification will briefly appear on screen to confirm this has been completed:
To view the contents of your watch list, click on this link which is usually displayed in the menu bar at the top of the screen when logged in to OVID:
This will then display your "Watch Index" which lists all vessels that are currently on your list:
If you wish to remove a vessel from your list, click on the blue arrow to the right of the vessel listing which takes you into the vessel record page. You will then see a "Remove from Watch" button located in the top right hand corner of the screen. A confirmation box appears to confirm the removal of the vessel record from your list. Notifications of new inspections will then stop once the removal is confirmed.
