OVID Submitting Companies have the ability to "watch" a vessel record. If you have a vessel that you are potentially interesting in chartering, the watch list is effectively a short list that you can quickly refer to without having to search the OVID database to look up the vessel details. Also, once a vessel is on your watch list you will automatically receive notifications when a new report on your chosen vessel is published.
To add a vessel to your watch list, go to the "Vessels" area of OVID, then search for and open the vessel record you require.
In the top right hand corner of the screen you will see an "Add to Watch" button:
Click on this to add the vessel to your list. A notification will briefly appear on screen to confirm this has been completed:
To view the contents of your watch list, click on this link which is usually displayed in the menu bar at the top of the screen when logged in to OVID:
This will then display your "Watch Index" which lists all vessels that are currently on your list:
If you wish to remove a vessel from your list, click on the blue arrow to the right of the vessel listing which takes you into the vessel record page. You will then see a "Remove from Watch" button located in the top right hand corner of the screen. A confirmation box appears to confirm the removal of the vessel record from your list. Notifications of new inspections will then stop once the removal is confirmed.
