Please note there are two types of comments, "Initial" and "Subsequent". There is a time frame of 14 days from the date when the report is processed by the submitting member where operators have the opportunity to add their comments and publish the report (if comments are not added within this time frame the report is published automatically). When comments are added within this 14 day window they are treated as "Initial" and will appear instantly in the final published report.
Comments are treated as subsequent if you have already added initial comments but you wish to add more after the report has been published.(How to access the report to add subsequent comments will be explained below).
To add comments to a published report, please navigate to the relevant vessel page and click the icon highlighted in yellow:
You will then be able to add comments via this screen. Once all subsequent comments have been added to the report, please click publish changes which will update the report with your new comments.
Once these comments are added and saved, the report will be queued for publication. Please note that this process may take up to one hour, after which the updated report will be available for programme recipients to view.
You can add as many subsequent comments to the report as necessary at anytime during the 12 month period where the report remains available on OCIMF system for programme recipients. Fields without any new updates are not mandatory, so user may choose whether or not to complete them. If there are no relevant updates to provide in the subsequent comments, user may tick the "Not Applicable" box.
