Overview
OCIMF is not currently providing operators access to the SIRE 2.0 API. All functionality required for operators to participate in SIRE 2.0 is already available through the SIRE website. This article explains the current position and what to expect if that changes.
Current policy
Operators do not currently have access to the SIRE 2.0 API. This applies to all operator activity in SIRE 2.0, including inspection requests, inspection management and reporting.
Please note: this is a policy decision, not a technical limitation. Submitting a support request for API credentials will not change the position while the policy is in place.
What this means for operators
All required functionality for operators to participate in SIRE 2.0 is in place already through the SIRE website. You can carry out the full operator workflow without API access, including:
- Raising and managing inspection requests
- Reviewing accepted and completed inspections
- Requesting cancellation of an accepted inspection
- Accessing inspection outputs and related documents
We appreciate that you may prefer to perform some of these activities through the API, but the SIRE website is the supported route for operators today.
When the policy changes
If and when the policy on operator API access changes, OCIMF will contact operators directly with guidance. There is no need to register interest or raise a support request in advance, any policy update will be communicated to all operators.
Still need help?
If you are unsure whether a particular task can be completed through the SIRE website, or you believe a piece of operator functionality is missing from the website, contact OCIMF Support with details of what you are trying to do so we can advise on the supported route.
