This guide aims to walk inspectors through the steps for enabling, connecting, and troubleshooting Wi‑Fi using the Communications Access Manager (CAM) on your tablet device.
1. Locate the Communications Access Manager
- On your device, find and open the Communications Access Manager.
- This is the central tool for managing wireless connections, including Wi‑Fi.
2. Turn Wi‑Fi On or Off
- Inside Communications Access Manager, follow the on‑screen prompts to enable or disable Wi‑Fi.
- Wait a few moments while available networks load.
3. Authenticate if Required
- Some networks may automatically open a browser window requesting authentication.
- If you receive this page:
- Enter any required credentials or information.
- Complete the steps to allow your Wi‑Fi connection to proceed.
4. Advanced Connection (If Problems Persist)
If the Wi‑Fi still won’t connect using the standard method:
- Return to the Communications Access Manager.
- Instead of tapping the network name once, tap and hold the Wi‑Fi network you want.
- A menu will appear—select the option to enter network details manually.
- Provide the appropriate information (e.g., password, security type).
- Tap Connect.
