If as an inspector you are subject to an audited inspection you may be asked to make changes to the report.
However, there are a couple of situations where you may be asked to make changes to an inspection and are unable to do so.
1. Inspection has not been submitted and your auditor has requested changes/corrections are made.
When you complete an audited inspection, you would normally complete your report using the editor software, export the completed inspection as a file and send this via e-mail to the auditing inspector for checking and marking. Once marked as a pass the auditor will then pass a marked file back to you for final submission.
Once a report has been marked as a pass by the auditor and sent back to you, the inspection file is then locked and is then a "Read Only" file. When you import the file it is then marked appropriately when displayed in your editors file list:
You cannot make any edits to a file once the auditor has marked the file as a pass. If an auditor then asks you to make further changes, contact the auditing inspector and advise them the report has been marked as a pass and you are unable to make changes to the report.
If they are unable to assist you further, pass the affected file to SIRE Support by sending it to the following e-mail address: siresupport@ocimf.org.
2. Inspection has been submitted and corrections are requested.
Another situation that can occur, is where an audited inspection has been submitted, however the submitting company request changes or corrections. Again, the inspection will be marked as read only. As an inspector you will not be able to make any changes to the submitted report.
In order to resolve this please contact SIRE Support at the following e-mail address: siresupport@ocimf.org. When you do contact us, please export the report and send it to us as a .ocimf file. Also provide details of which questions require changes and also specify send details of the exact replacement wording that would be required.
