SIRE Inspector - Installing the SIRE Editor software for the first time

If you are a first time user of the SIRE editor software, or you are installing on a new computer this will briefly explain the steps to successfully install the editor software onto your computer. 

Please run through the following in the order shown: 

1. First of all before attempting to install the editor software, you will need to ensure that you have Adobe Air installed. This is required for the editor to run. You can obtain the latest installer from here: https://airsdk.harman.com/runtime

2. Next you will need to download the install file for the editor software. To do this, log in to your SIRE account at https://www.ocimf-sire.org/default.aspx. It is best to obtain the installer file from the OCIMF SIRE website as the latest version is always available from here. At your homepage you should see a link to the Resources area in the bottom right hand corner: 

Click on the link to open the Resources page, if you then click on the "Software" tab you should then see the SIRE Report Editor listed, click on the "Download" button on the right hand side of the screen.

Once the download has completed, go to your "Downloads" folder. You should then see the editor installer listed.

Double click on this installer and run through the onscreen instructions (this is usually very simple and just requires you to click on next/continue and an "install" button). 

3. Once the installation is completed a shortcut should then appear on your desktop which should look like this: 

The editor should now open if you double click on this icon.
