SIRE Operators now have the ability to upload relevant certificates to vessel records.
To do this go to "Vessels" in the menu bar at the top of most screens within SIRE and then open a vessel record. Once open you will see a "Vessel Certificates" heading in the main vessel details. Click on the "Upload" button to begin uploading certificates:
This will take you to the certificate upload screen, to begin click on the certificate type box:
This will then bring up a list of certificate types, chose the one that is relevant and then complete the rest of the details on that row (issue and expiry dates etc), once complete click on the green "Upload Button":
This will then allow you to browse your computer and select the file, it will then be uploaded. To add more certificates, please repeat the process to upload as required.
Errors when uploading certificates
In some cases when you attempt to upload a certificate you may see an error such as "Expiry Date must be greater than current date".
The reason this usually occurs is because the dates you enter when uploading a certificate are validated against the dates that you enter in the certificates area of your last published particulars document for the vessel. If you see this error or another one similar to this, the first thing to do is to go to the particulars document and check the dates entered there in the certificates area (usually section 2 of most particulars documents) if the dates shown here are incorrect and do not match the dates for the certificate you are trying to upload, amend them in the particulars document and then re-publish it.
Once you have re-published, then go back and try to re-load the certificate. If the dates now match it chould upload without any problems.
If you are still getting errors and unsure how to proceed, please do contacts us at the following address: siresupport@ocimf.org
