Every OCIMF Programme Participant shares the responsibility for creating a positive and transparent environment. One way you can help is by bringing forward your concerns, questions and suggestions directly to OCIMF and the submitting companies. For times when you don’t feel comfortable using that method, we have also launched the EthicsPoint web-based reporting system that is managed by an outside company. Think of it as another way to communicate your concerns confidentially and anonymously. So you can do your part to build communication and promote safety, security, and ethical behaviour.
How does the system work?
You make a report with an independent firm called NAVEX Global. An EthicsPoint relations manager will assign it to the appropriate person at OCIMF to follow up to make sure it’s being addressed.
Who should use it?
Everyone. It’s for all programme participants, regardless of location. The system is available in several languages, via the internet.
What is it for?
Use the system to express concerns, ask questions and offer ideas. Whatever you need it for! Tell us what we’re doing right and what we need to work on. If you’d prefer, you can also remain anonymous!
How do I access it?
In order to access the link to the Ethics Report Site – please login to your SIRE Inspectors account at https://www.ocimf-sire.org/default.aspx. Once logged in click on your username located in the top right-hand corner of the screen:
The Ethics Report Link is located in the lower part of the menu as highlighted in the image above. Click on this to open the Ethics Report site:
Upon arrival at the site, we would recommend you read the contents of this page before proceeding to make a report. There are also links on the left-hand side of the page to allow you to review the OCIMF Code of Conduct and the Inspector Code of Ethics before proceeding. There is also a link to a Frequently Asked Questions area which also provides useful information.
When you are ready to start, please follow the steps under the “To Make a Report” heading and follow the instructions on screen as they appear.
Whether you need to report misconduct or suggest improvements, we want to hear from you. All reports will be reviewed and responded to appropriately.
Please remember that the reporting system is here to help you—to help all of us.
