A specific permission is available which limits a users ability to only edit crew details on specific vessels.
To be able to add this to a users account you will need to have SIRE administrator access.
If you are an administrator, login to your SIRE account and then click on your username in the top right hand corner of the screen and then select "Manage Users" from the drop down list that should appear:
At the next screen, you will see a list of your organisations SIRE users. Click on the blue button to the right of the user you wish to edit to access their account profile permission details:
At the next screen you will see the users permissions that are either enabled already or available, at the lower end of the list you will see the "User Has Restricted Vessel Management" permission. To enable the permission, click on the checkbox:
Once the permission has been enabled, click on the "Select Vessels" link immediately to the right of the checkbox. This will then take you to a screen like this:
This list shows all vessels available in your organisations SIRE account. To allow the user to edit the crew data, click on the relevant green button with a + symbol to the right of the vessel name.
Once completed a small notification appears briefly in the lower left hand corner of the screen to confirm permission to edit crew data is enabled. Please repeat the process for each vessel that you wish the selected user to have access to. Any vessel that is not selected will be blocked and the user will not have any capability to edit the crew data.
If you wish to remove access to a vessel, click on the red button with a - sign, this will then remove the users ability to edit crew data.
