On HVPQ6, all grid questions in the Offline Particulars Editor have mandatory columns (for example questions 4.2.2 and 10.1.7). If a value is missing from any column in a grid row, that row becomes locked and cannot be edited.
Why This Happens
The HVPQ6 grid requires every column to hold a value. If a row was created or imported without a value in one of its columns, the editor will not allow that row to be edited directly, it can only be removed and re-entered.
How to Fix It
- Open the affected grid in the Offline Particulars Editor.
- Locate the row that will not allow editing.
- Delete the row completely.
- Re-add the row as a new entry.
- Complete a value for every column in the row (including all date fields. If a date is not applicable, input 01/01/1900 to complete the entry).
- Save the document.
Once every column has a value, the row will be fully editable going forward.
Related Issues
This is different from the "One or more grid rows..." error message shown when uploading a HVPQ/BPQ file. That error is caused by the file being modified outside the OCIMF Particulars Editor (for example, opened and edited in a text editor). If you are seeing that error instead, this article does not apply - see the separate article for that upload error.
Still Need Help?
If you have completed the steps above and the row still cannot be edited, please contact OCIMF Support with a screenshot of the affected row and the vessel/document reference.
